Who doesn't love a chocolatey dessert? I came up with this recipe for my brother. He isn't a huge fan of sweets, but he sure loves this chocolatey goodness. The crunchy Oreos with the chocolatey filling is the perfect sweet bite. I've made this dessert with berries and chopped nuts for toppings as well, but I made this one with Oreos and white chocolate morsels since he loves chocolate. The white chocolate morsels add a nice crunch to this dessert. This dessert is fairly easy to put together and you can make it well in advance if you'd like. You can serve it at parties, events, or enjoy it as your midnight guilty snack! ;)

"Dunked" Oreo Tart

Ingredients:

- 30 Oreo cookies, plus 6 for topping

- 1/4 cup of Ghirardelli white chocolate morsels

- 2 cups of Nestle semi sweet chocolate morsels

- 5 oz of heavy whipping cream

- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

- 6 tbsp of unsalted butter

Optional: Instead of Oreo cookies as toppings, I've also done strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, pistachios, almonds, or crushed peanuts.

Directions

1 - Place the butter in a microwavable container and melt it in the microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute.

2 - Crush 30 Oreo cookies in a food processor into a crumbly texture.

3 - Mix in the melted butter with the crushed Oreos and press the mixture to make the crust in a tart pan or a pie dish.

4 - Place the crust in the fridge for 30 minutes so that it sets, or the freezer for 10 minutes.

5 - Heat the whipping cream in a pot over the stove for about a minute or two until it's hot.

6 - Put the semi sweet chocolate morsels in a microwaveable container and pour the hot whipping cream over them as well as the vanilla extract and cover the container for about 5 minutes. The heat from the cream should melt the chocolate morsels.

7 - Uncover the container and stir the melted chocolate with the cream until it becomes a creamy chocolatey mixture. Note: If the chocolate morsels didn't completely melt, stick it in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time while mixing and stirring in between until the chocolate is well combined with the cream.

8 - Take the crust out of the fridge and then pour the melted chocolate mixture into the crust; even it out using a spoon, if needed.

9 - Cut the Oreos in half and "dunk" them into the tart.

10 - Place the white chocolate morsels throughout the tart in between the Oreos.

11 - Refrigerate the tart for at least 6 hours.

12 - Serve with milk or fruits. Enjoy! :)
